Stephane Dion gets tossed under Dalton McGuinty's bus
One of the things that I think that would be a mistake right now is massive shifts in tax burden at a time when there's uncertainty,” said Ontario's Liberal Finance Minister Dwight Duncan. Ouch.
Federal surplus reaches almost $10B Canwest News Service September 29, 2008
OTTAWA - 'The federal government posted a surplus for the last fiscal year of just less than $10 billion, the Department of Finance reported Monday, slightly below what had been anticipated'
p.s. This year end surplus and first 1/4 08-09 surplus does not include the $4 B from the telecom sale!!
This is almost beyond belief; a tax that Dalton McGuinty doesn't support wholeheartedly, whether it is one of his or not. Perhaps Dopey Dalton is taking a look at the polls and wondering if Mr. Flaherty's message may be beginning to make sense to people in Ontario, and that maybe that won't be so good come the next provincial election.
Too bad the finance minister's comments have not been the number one election story today. I think more needs to be done to bring the focus back to Dion's idiotic "the Green Shift plan". The Canadian public needs to have that particular economy-killer square in their faces daily.

It's the sort of quote that doesn't HAVE to be a big story immediately. The line can be used in the debates, interviews, stump speeches. It is a powerful arrow to have in the quiver.

Riding Iggy and Bob Rae's coattails. No wonder his poll numbers are sinking quicker then the Titanic.

I wonder what Iggy is doing with his hand back there - is that the glint of a knife I see??
